This 268-page compendium, produced in conjunction with the 29th NCBC provides written materials submitted by the 38 faculty who presented 20 plenary sessions and 18 workshop sessions. The NCBC conference was specifically designed for the diagnostic radiologist and for the radiologic technologist working in the field of mammography and breast imaging. The conference highlighted new aspects of the management of breast cancer, new technologies, practice issues and interventional techniques. Among the topics addressed in the syllabus are breast surgery, adjuvant therapy, imaging dilemmas in benign disease, DCIS and invasive cancer; digital mammography, medical legal issues, coding and billing, fraud and abuse, tissue acquisition devices, guidance procedures and percutaneous biopsy and intervention.
