eHealthcare Leadership Awards Recognizes Imaginis for its Strong Cancer Content

Greenville, SC - The Eighth Annual eHealthcare Leadership Awards presented Imaginis.com with a Distinction Award for the Web site's outstanding disease-focused content at a recent conference that attracted leaders in medicine, research, and healthcare information. Imaginis was honored as a Best Health/Healthcare Content Web site, a category that drew an unusually high number of entries.

Winners were honored at a special presentation in Las Vegas on November 4, 2007 during the Eleventh Annual Healthcare Internet Conference. The competition is sponsored by Strategic Healthcare Communications, and this year attracted more than 1,100 entries from a wide variety of healthcare organizations.

Imaginis.com is a comprehensive online women's health resource, and one of the most sought-after Web sites by breast cancer patients and their families. "We are pleased to receive this distinction," Imaginis Corporation CEO John H. Molloy said. "The Imaginis team diligently updates and creates original and readable women's health content, with a goal of providing the most reliable information available on the Internet. As a result, this type of recognition is important to us, and tells consumers our content is trustworthy," he said.

The competition this year was tough, according to organizers, as more healthcare content floods the Internet, and consumers rely more on online content as a reliable source of information. More than 100 judges looked at how sites compared with others in their organization's classification. They also reviewed sites based on a proprietary multi-point standard of Internet excellence. Other honorees in the Best Health/Healthcare Content category included The Cleveland Clinic, WebMD, Siemens Medical Solutions, Revolution Health Group, Merck & Co., and prominent hospital systems.
